Adane Jerusalem Street Kebab
אדנה (Adane) קבב רחוב ירושלמי
Adane is a yellow kebab counter on HaEgoz street in Mahane Yehuda market that serves one thing: adana, the flat Turkish kebab on a skewer, in lamb, beef, a mix or a vegan version. As their wall says, you recognise a good kebab before you taste it, by the smell of the coals and the sound of fat hitting the fire. The menu is short: the "Sultan deal" at ₪69 (vegan ₪75) is an adana with a house beer or a soft drink, with spicy merguez, an extra skewer or Turkish pistachio as add-ons and coal-roasted sweet potato or crunchy potatoes on the side. To drink: lemon arak, draught beer or a chaser. Stools at the counter, in the heart of the market.
