This Jerusalem name was started by Mordechai Zion Tzidkiyahu with Bulgarian cheese, traditional Tzfatit and kashkaval — because that is what there was. Today, at the start of Etz HaChaim Street, there are two Ma'adanei Tzidkiyahu branches, one dairy and one meat. The dairy branch has imported cheeses, farm-boutique cheeses, spreads, olive oil and fish. Across the street, at 70 Etz HaChaim, you can buy prepared food, salads and house pickles.
