Yes. Once the stalls close, the lanes reopen as a bar district behind the painted shutters. This page gathers the bars we know in the market and the lanes around it, with the address, hours and kosher status of each.
From Sunday to Thursday the stalls run from 08:00 to 19:00, and the restaurants and bars carry on past midnight. Thursday is the city's big night. Every business sets its own hours, so each bar's hours are on its card.
The market itself is closed from Friday afternoon until Shabbat ends on Saturday night. A bar with kosher certification is closed with it and reopens on Saturday night. A bar that is open on Shabbat is marked in the list.
Some of them. Each bar in the list is marked when it has kosher certification.
By light rail: the Machane Yehuda stop on Jaffa Road is at the entrance to the market. Buses and the light rail do not run from Friday afternoon until Saturday night.
