Feingold Café

Feingold's café on HaAfarsek Street in Mahane Yehuda Market, on the same lane as the bread stand — a case of parve pastries under Badatz Mehadrin supervision, and espresso. The case holds whole kranz loaves baked in loaf tins, glazed and streuseled; muffins of poppy seed and candied orange, pecan and carrot, maple and coconut in spelt flour, almond and raisin, and a rich nut brownie; olive-oil brioche buns under pearl sugar; and outsized cookies of hazelnut with Atlantic salt and of peanut with peanut butter. The paper moulds carry the Feingold stamp, and every shelf is labelled parve. The certificate at the counter — Badatz Mehadrin, Rabbi Avraham Rubin, issued in Elul 5786, valid to 8 February 2027, all year except Passover — covers what is sold to take away and does not cover the tables outside.
