Siman Tov is a family butcher, kosher mehadrin, at 6 HaTapuach Street in the Machane Yehuda market, specialising in frozen and aged meat and fresh poultry. The business was founded by Eli Siman Tov, who has been in the meat trade for more than thirty years, and the family has a second, larger branch at 92 Agrippas Street, run by his son. The frozen and aged range includes entrecôte, shoulder and roasts; on the fresh side there are chickens, turkey and cuts. Everything is kosher mehadrin — Chalak Beit Yosef and Rabbi S. Machpud. Closed on Shabbat. If you're shopping for Shabbat, come on Thursday or Friday morning, before the market starts to empty. HaTapuach Street has several more fishmongers and butchers, so you can buy both meat and fish for Shabbat in one alley.
