Yosef, the father of the late Nissim, and his brother bought the place in 1968. Until 1975 they ran a restaurant, and in 1975, after they parted ways, they had two shops. Nissim went into business that same year and they turned the place into Merkaz HaPri, which has worked the same way ever since.
