Kingdom of Halva is a halva and tahini shop at 46 Etz HaChaim Street in Machane Yehuda Market, with about 100 kinds of halva, under Badatz Edah HaCharedit kashrut. The Maman family business dates back to 1947, and today Eli Maman, a third-generation halva maker, runs it. The sesame comes from Ethiopia and is ground on millstones; besides classic halva there are flavours such as pistachio, banana, hazelnut and lemon with chocolate chips, and tahini in flavours such as honey, za'atar and carob. Halva costs ₪39–49 for 400 grams and tahini ₪25–35 for 500 grams, and there are mini jars and gift boxes too. The Kingdom has a second branch at 10 Machane Yehuda Street; closed on Shabbat.
