Knafeh City of David (Knafeh Ir David) is a kosher mehadrin knafeh and baklava stall in the Machane Yehuda market, at 26 Etz Chaim Street on the corner of HaAfarsek. House knafeh is ₪35, semolina knafeh ₪40 and Dubai knafeh ₪40, and there is also a vegan knafeh at ₪35. Alongside the knafeh there is baklava, malabi, sachlab and kadaif pastries. The stall was opened at the end of 2017 by the people behind Moreno Nuts, a long-established market family, and the knafeh is made in an individual pan. Kashrut: Badatz Beit Yosef and Jerusalem Rabbinate Mehadrin. Open Sunday to Wednesday 09:00–00:00, Thursday until 02:00 and Friday 08:30–16:00. Thursday night is the market's busy night, when the bars fill up — a good moment for a hot knafeh after a beer.
