Café Lyon is a dairy, French-inspired café at 119 Jaffa Street, right by the Machane Yehuda market, under Jerusalem Rabbinate mehadrin and Badatz Beit Yosef supervision. It belongs to a chain that grew out of La Lyonnaise in Ashdod, open since 1996. Breakfast is served until 16:00: shakshuka (₪74), soft scrambled eggs on sourdough (₪62) and croissant sandwiches (₪62–68). Later in the day there are pastas at ₪69–86, pizzas at ₪69–78, salads and fish fillets at ₪124–128, and pecan pie or apple pie for dessert. Seating is inside and out, under stone arches and facing an open kitchen, with a self-service ordering point and a 'Lyon Express' corner for grab-and-go. Open Sunday to Wednesday 08:00–23:00, Thursday until around midnight, Friday until 14:30, and it reopens on Saturday night after Shabbat ends.
