Bakshi Pharmacy is a private pharmacy at 6 Machane Yehuda Street, in the open-air part of the market, operating here since the middle of the last century. It is one of the oldest pharmacies in Jerusalem, run by the Bakshi family for several generations. It stocks prescription and over-the-counter medicines, pharmacy products, skincare and cosmetics, and it works with the Meuhedet health fund. Veteran market traders remember it as one of the cleanest, most orderly places in the market. Open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 09:00–19:00, Tuesday until 17:00 and Friday 09:00–14:00; closed on Shabbat. Handy when you need a pharmacy in the middle of a market run, without leaving the market.
