Nearly thirty years in the city centre, in one of Jerusalem's handsome historic buildings, with a Jerusalem-stone courtyard that is half the reason to come. An Italian stone taboon oven stands in that courtyard, turning out handmade focaccias and pizzas from a sourdough that proves for 48 hours, alongside fresh pasta, fish and seafood, good meat and vegetarian and vegan dishes — the doughs, the pasta and the desserts are all made on site. There is also a patio roofed in glass and a small, quiet terrace. Focaccia Bar is one of the last non-kosher strongholds in central Jerusalem, and it holds on to that character with pride.
