HaMelech Tahini is a tahini and halva shop at 33 Etz HaChaim Street in Machane Yehuda Market, where Ethiopian sesame is ground on millstones in front of customers. The raw tahini is ground in the shop itself the traditional way, and you can watch the millstones at work and see sesame turn into tahini. Alongside the tahini the shop sells halva in a range of unusual flavours. Open Sunday to Thursday 09:00–20:00 and Friday 07:00–15:30; closed on Shabbat.
