The Courtyard – American Colony Hotel

The Courtyard is the American Colony Hotel's courtyard restaurant, at 1 Louis Vincent Street — tables in the shade of mulberry trees around a fountain; not kosher, and open on Shabbat too. The courtyard sits at the heart of the hotel's Main House, just past the lobby. The house was built as the residence of an Ottoman pasha and has been a hotel since 1902. The kitchen is Mediterranean with influences from around the world, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The courtyard operates in the warm season and when the weather allows. In winter the hotel moves indoors — the Arabesque restaurant, the brasserie and the Cellar Bar — and in summer there is also the Summer Bar in the garden. English afternoon tea is served at the hotel daily from 15:00 to 18:00, ₪120 per person, booked in advance. The courtyard also hosts private events of up to 60 guests.
