What is open in Jerusalem on Yom Kippur?
Almost nothing. Restaurants, cafés, shops, museums, and attractions are all closed, there is no public transport and no taxis, and Ben Gurion Airport is closed to all flights. Hotels stay open and serve their guests the pre-fast meal and the break-fast, and emergency services — ambulances, hospitals, and rescue teams — operate as normal. Buy whatever you need the day before.
