RestaurantKosherClosed on Shabbat4.4 (123)

Lifta is a mehadrin-kosher meat chef's restaurant in the Center 1 mall (43 Yirmiyahu Street) at the entrance to Jerusalem, led by chef Eli Davis. The cooking is Israeli and French, bridging traditional, rooted cooking and contemporary Israeli cuisine. The menu includes, for example, kreplach with short rib and chicken broth, a tongue skewer, chicken thigh, Denver cut, lamb spare ribs, trout and "Chatzilifta" — charred eggplant with tahini, harissa and preserved lemon. Starters run about ₪40–110 and mains about ₪140–220. The dining room, deep inside the mall, comes as a surprise: spacious and elegant, with careful lighting and tables that aren't crammed together. Open Sunday to Thursday 18:00–23:00, closed Friday and Saturday. Kashrut is supervised by Rabbi Refael Menat, with products under Badatz certification; free parking in the mall car park, full accessibility, and tables can be booked in advance.
