David & Tzachi Fish is a fishmonger at 13 HaTapuach Street in Machane Yehuda Market, specialising in sushi-grade fish — salmon and red tuna you can serve raw, as sushi or ceviche. The shop moved to HaTapuach Street in July 2011 from the corner of Etz HaChaim and Agrippas streets, and sells fresh and frozen fish of every kind — sea fish and pond fish, by weight, and fillets too. David gives recipes and recommends special fish, with tips on how to prepare them. If you are buying fish for Shabbat, come on Thursday or Friday morning: by Friday afternoon the market is already emptying out, and on Shabbat it is closed. Thursday evening is the market's busy night, so a mid-week morning leaves more time to ask for advice at the counter.
