The Church of the Redeemer

The Church of the Redeemer

A Lutheran Protestant church in the Muristan, a few steps from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, consecrated in 1898 in the presence of the German Kaiser Wilhelm II. A neo-Romanesque facade with a large rose window, above it a forty-metre bell tower that is one of the clearest landmarks on the Old City skyline. You can climb to the top of the tower for one of the best views in the city — over the quarters, the Dome of the Rock and the Mount of Olives.
