The Western Wall

Free entryOpen on Shabbat

The Western Wall is a remnant of the retaining wall of the Temple Mount from the Second Temple period and the holiest site in Judaism for prayer. The plaza facing the wall is open to the public around the clock at no charge, welcoming visitors and worshippers from around the world. Access to the plaza is through the Dung Gate in the Old City. The site is managed by the Western Wall Heritage Foundation. Nearby, the Davidson Center and the Western Wall Tunnels offer separate paid admission with their own visiting hours.
