Gan HaTut (Mulberry Garden)
Free entryOpen on Shabbat
A small paved square in the heart of Nachlaot, dominated by an old mulberry tree whose twisting trunk throws shade across almost the whole plaza. Benches, street lamps and a neighbourhood noticeboard ring it — a place people sit in rather than pass through, with children climbing the leaning trunk. At its edge stands the community centre building, preserved from 1894. Not a ticketed attraction: it is a neighbourhood square that walkers in the Nachlaot lanes stumble on, and find is the pleasantest place to stop mid-day.
