A tour **in English only**, into the hidden parts of the Tower of David citadel that are normally closed to the public. We get to know the secrets of the best-preserved citadel in the Land of Israel: through the concealed passage, up onto the roof of the Ottoman gate and to the top of the locked tower, into the counterscarp system and up the famous minaret. Along the way we look for the masons' marks left by the Crusaders, find out what the Ottoman guards did to pass the time, and try to decipher some of the inscriptions. **The tour is not wheelchair accessible** and involves going up and down stairs. Moderate difficulty. Meeting and finishing point: the Angelina Drahi entrance pavilion at the Tower of David. Comfortable shoes are recommended, and please arrive about ten minutes before the start.
