Café Ravida is registered as a coffee cart, and on the ground it is a whole compound in the middle of the Jerusalem Forest: a permanent tent, geodesic domes, grass and large parasols over dozens of seats, beside Yosef Weitz Road — between Har Nof and the Nahal Ravida trail. They open at 5:00 in the morning, which tells you who comes: cyclists heading up into the forest at first light, walkers on the Nahal Ravida trail, and people driving to work along Route 16 who want coffee before the city wakes up. There is parking at the roadside, right next to the tables. Kosher under Badatz Beit Yosef — mehadrin, dairy. Coffee and hot drinks, pastries and cakes, sandwiches, salads and cold drinks. Closed on Shabbat.
