Chota is a small, intimate, non-kosher restaurant from chef Ilan Grossi at 18 Ben Sira Street: oysters, tartare and a short menu, with most dishes under ₪70. Grossi opened it in October 2025 with his young partner Denis Turk, in the corner building that housed the Chelo restaurant for thirty years, a few steps from Pizza Chakra. The name means 'small' in Hindi. At the centre of the room is a stainless-steel bar with about 12 seats facing the kitchen, plus a few tables and outdoor seating. The menu opens with Normandy oysters with ginger-apple granita (₪24), continues with spicy tuna, the chef's signature dish since Satya (₪48), and beef tartare (₪68). Open Monday to Friday from 18:00 and on Saturday from 11:30 for lunch; closed on Sunday. It is a small place, so it is worth booking ahead.
