Uri & Sons is a family delicatessen at 18 Machane Yehuda Street in the market, with ready-made food cooked on site every day, under Jerusalem Rabbinate kashrut. Before the State of Israel was founded, Uri's father ran a butcher's shop here; in 1975 Uri turned it into a food business, and today he runs it with his sons. The counter holds cheeses, homemade salads, pickles, olives, cold cuts and wine, and the trays hold ready meals such as salmon, lasagna, stuffed vegetables and fried dishes. The deli also runs dairy catering for offices and events — platters of mini sandwiches, pasta, quiches and cheese, ordered 24 hours ahead; a platter of 15 mini sandwiches costs ₪220. Open Sunday to Friday, closed on Shabbat.
