Mandarin is a long-running Chinese restaurant at 2 Shlomtzion HaMalka Street in central Jerusalem, open since 1958 and serving every day, Shabbat included. It is on the second floor of the building, a few steps from Jaffa Street, and is family owned. The cooking follows the traditions of several regions of China, and the restaurant is not kosher: the menu has pork, shrimp, veal and fish. Soups such as corn, hot-and-sour or wonton cost ₪28–35, dim sum ₪40–48, and most main dishes, such as sweet-and-sour chicken or pork and Mongolian beef, ₪89–98. For dessert there is fried banana or fried pineapple. Open 12:00–23:00, with delivery available. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible.
