Vaniglia – First Station

Vaniglia at the First Station is a branch of the ice-cream chain in the complex on David Remez Street — open every day including Shabbat, 09:00 to 23:00, without kosher certification. There is cream ice cream, sorbet, vegan and sugar-free ice cream, plus milkshakes and Belgian waffles baked on the spot. Take-home packs come in half-kilo, three-quarter-kilo and one-kilo sizes. Alongside the ice cream there are desserts and coffee, and a terrace where you sit looking out over the complex. The complex is housed in Jerusalem's historic railway station, and it is open on Shabbat too — so a Shabbat stroll can end with an ice cream on the terrace.
