A Neighbourhood in Protest — Musrara on the Seam Line
Thursday, October 29, 2026
14:00–17:00
Yad Izhak Ben Zvi, אבן גבירול 14, ירושלים
The Musrara neighborhood has known borders, wars and upheavals, but it was also the birthplace of one of the most influential social movements in Israel. We will meet the story of the Black Panthers and see how the reality of life in the neighborhood created a generation of young people who sought to change the face of Israeli society. We will also try to examine whether they succeeded… Meeting point: Safra Square, by the piano Recommended parking: Safra Square Tour not accessible Moderate difficulty: will include walking sections in nature of up to 10 km and possibly some mildly challenging sections.
