The Roommate

A surprising and moving comic drama By: Jen Silverman Translation: Gur Koren Director: Shirili Deshe Music: Itamar Gross With: Miki Kam and Odeya Koren Sharon is a divorced retiree in her sixties living in a small town in the USA. She loves cooking, and her boldest dream is a vegetable garden in the backyard. When Sharon looks for a roommate, along comes Robyn: a wild New Yorker, lesbian, vegan, hiding a skeleton or two in the closet. To everyone's surprise, Sharon is not put off by her new roommate's stormy presence, and is even drawn into her world. What begins as an innocent flat-share turns into a dangerous adventure neither of them expected. A funny, witty and touching duet that won over audiences on Broadway. A cigarette-like stage prop is used in the show. First / second show for subscribers of the Select series.
