Four Houses, a Red Roof and Longing — Israeli Art Looks for Home
Wednesday, December 30, 2026
18:00–19:30
Yad Izhak Ben Zvi, אבן גבירול 14, ירושלים
₪60
In the course's closing session we will discuss 'home' as the most charged subject in local art. For Israeli art, home is often an object of longing, uprooting or constant searching. We will try to touch carefully on the events of October 7th, which redefined the fragility of the Israeli home, and examine how contemporary artists grapple with the concept of the "portable home", one built not of stone but of memories, objects and language. Through the works of leading artists we will close the course with a resonant question: have we found home?
