The Metula Poetry Festival in Jerusalem 2026 — Day One

A few years ago Roni Someck was chosen by the festival's audience as the national poet of our times. Someck refused the honour and preferred to be called "the beloved poet". Over the years it has become clear that he created a kind of poetic school of poets who refuse to give in to melancholy and instead search out rare moments of happiness.
