Nonoki

A coming-of-age story following 13-year-old Nonoki, who lives with her extended family in a Shuar community in the Amazon. As political tensions rise and her mother urges her to move to the city, Nonoki finds herself caught between two worlds. Navigating the uncertainties of adolescence and a new school, she discovers refuge in her grandmother's traditional plant garden and sacred songs (Anents). Guided by prophetic dreams, her grandfather's legacy as a Shuar leader fighting to protect their land, and the rich spiritual world of the jungle, Nonoki begins to understand her place in the world.
