Khan Theatre, דוד רמז 2, ירושלים
₪220
Fifty years after its legendary premiere at Beit Hamikra, Goldoni's classic 18th-century comedy returns to the stage in a brilliant new production. When Pantalone plans to marry his daughter Clarissa to his business partner Federico Rasponi, news of Rasponi's death in a duel changes everything. Clarissa is betrothed to her true love Silvio instead. But at their engagement party, the servant Truffaldino arrives claiming to serve the supposedly dead Rasponi—who is actually alive and waiting outside. What follows is a hilarious comedy of errors and mistaken identities as Truffaldino juggles his confused masters and uncovers hidden truths. In Nesim Aloni's brilliant translation and a wild new interpretation. Premiere: March 29, 2025.
