World premiere of a new play written especially for the Khan Theatre "Wandering Stars" is a work about love, ambition, theater and wandering. The play tells the story of Leibel and Reizel, two young people with dreams who run away from their home village to join the world of Yiddish theater. The plot moves between Eastern Europe and America and reflects the romance and the hardships of Jewish life at the start of the 20th century. Sholem Aleichem paints a vivid portrait of wandering artists, torn between tradition and modernity, and asks how one can find love in a fickle world full of contradictions. World premiere of a play by Richard Nelson First performance: 27 June 2026 The show is dedicated to the memory of Alexander (Sasha) Lisiansky, one of Israel's leading stage designers, who was to design the set for this production and died before his time.
