Amit is called to her dying biological mother's bedside, but arrives too late. Without ever opening her adoption file, she suddenly finds herself face-to-face with a family she's never known, led by her biological father Prosper, a drug addict she hasn't seen since age five. After this encounter, she returns to her adoptive parents on a kibbutz in northern Israel, caught between the home she knows and a family and identity that have existed only outside her life.
