The Circus of Nothing is a meta-world where the tightrope walker is a floating memory, the elephants are tremors of anger, the clowns are longing and the horses are whinnies of madness. Mary's spirit leads Charlie through memories, feelings and fantasy on his way to finding himself again. More than 80 puppets, an empty circus ring and two performers looking for comfort.
