One Thousand and One Nights — A Family Experience at the Tower of David

Wednesday, August 19, 2026

17:00–21:00

מגדל דוד מוזיאון ירושלים, שער יפו, ירושלים

₪30

The Tower of David citadel becomes a palace out of the Thousand and One Nights: robbers have stolen the royal treasure and hidden it in the fortress, and every family that arrives becomes a party of treasure hunters — collecting coins at the stations, solving riddles, and passing through the gate into the Sultan's court once they have gathered enough. **The stations and their times** · Dance of a Thousand Colours — an Indian dance performance on the main stage, at 17:30, 18:30, 19:30 and 20:15 · Lantern tours — leaving from the Hexagon plaza at 18:30, 19:00, 19:30 and 20:00, about half an hour each · The juggling show in the Sultan's court — at 18:30, 19:15, 20:00 and 20:45 · Martial arts of the East — a workshop on the minaret plaza · The royal goldsmith — making a necklace in the Roni hall · The spice bazaar — guessing scents in the spice garden · The magic lamp cave — theatrical storytelling in Gallery 7 · The treasure hunters' test — among the ancient jars in Herod's garden **Worth knowing before you go** The courtyard stations close at 20:45 and the audience moves to the Sultan's court in the citadel moat, where traditional instruments play and the closing performance takes place. **Three stations are not accessible** to wheelchairs or pushchairs: martial arts, the treasure hunters' test and the lantern tours. Climbing the tower is an optional station for an extra ₪15, with no task attached — just the view over the Old City and the new. For ages 5–12, and children enter accompanied by a parent only. Under-5s enter free with advance registration. Registration is required, and entry to each station is subject to space.
